BENSON, H. J.
Farmer, Sec. 13., P.O. Kellogg; born in Rutland Co., Vt., in 1819; moved to St. Lawrence Co., N. Y., in 1822, thence to Rock Co., Wis., in 1845, and to Dane Co. in 1855, and located in this county in 1867. Married Miss Harriet E. PINNEY in 1840; she was born in Potsdam, St. Lawrence Co., N. Y., in 1820; they have six children living by that marriage-Charles H., Homer P., Helen L., Mary E., Frank C., Minnie L. Mrs. BENSON died Oct. 16, 1863. He married his second wife, M. J. ELDRIDGE in 1864; by this marriage he has seven children living---Albert W., Walter H., George M., James W., Emma R., Harvey H. and Spencer S.
