KNIGHT, George F.
Grain merchant, Monroe. He was born in Hampden Co., MA in 1819 and came west in 1854 settling in Wapello Co, this State, where he was engaged in the drug and mercantile business. He moved to Monroe in 1874 and engaged in the grain trade. He is one of the firm known as the Monroe Elevator Company, which is composed of himself, Langan, Weeks, and Gibson. He married Miss Sarah Jane LANGAN in Wapello Co, and they have three children---Frank L., Waren M., and Willis A. He is a Republican.
