FERGUSON, A. J.
Carpenter and builder, Monroe. He was born in Greene Co., PA in 1834, where he remained until 1859, when he went to Knox Co., OH. There, he married Miss Sarah M. WRIGHT, 22 Sep 1862. She was born in Ohio. Mr. Ferguson enlisted in Co F, 121st Ohio V. I. and served until the war was over. He was honorably disharged in June 1865. He was in a number of engagements, the principal onces being the battles of Chickamauga, Kenesaw Mountain, Resaca, and all through the Atlanta campaign. The war being over, he returned to Knox Co., OH, remaining until the Fall of 1876, when he moved to this place. Mr. F. is a Republican and a member of the council. He has held other local offices. He and his wife are members of the M. E. Church. There were two of his brothers in the army, also-- Joseph and Lemon.
