TAYLOR, Edward; Farmer, Sec. 9, P.O. Grinnell. He was born in Leitrim Co., Ireland in 1836, and came to this country in 1850 and located in this county in 1866. He married Miss Ellen ATWOOD in 1862. She was born in Litchfield Co., CT in 1840. They have four children--Merritt E., Willy E., Calvin F., and George A. They are members of the M. E. Church; he is a Republican. He owns sixty acres of land, valued at $30 per acre. ~ "The History of Jasper County" (Chicago: Western Historical Company, 1878), 537
