DEAN, Emerson S.; Farmer, Sec 16, P. O. Kellogg. He was born in Windham Co., CT in 1807. He moved to La Salle Co., IL in 1835 and to Livingston Co., seven years later. He located in this county in 1864. He married Nancy MARKS who was born near Circleville, OH. Their children are: Hanna P., Jacob M., Unis J., Rebecca A., Mary F., Philip L., and Thompson. He is a Republican and owns 280 acres of land valued at $35 an acre.
