ALFORD, H. D.; Farmer, Sec. 2, P. O. Grinnell. He was born in St. Lawrence Co., NY in 1830. He moved to Nodaway Co., MO in 1870, and located in this county in 1878. He married Masrinda OLIVER in 1856. She was born in the same county and State in 1838. their children are Charles C., Kittie Estola, Emma, and Oren Dayton. They are members of the M. E. Church. He owns 80 acres of land valued at $2000. (N.
