HUME, John
Farmer; SDec. 19; P. O. Mitchellville; born in Indiana in 1831; came to Story Co., Iowa in 1858; thence to Madison Co. in 1860; thence to Jasper Co. in 1861. Has 200 acres of land, valued at $55 per acre. Married Mary J. SLAYDEN in 1857; she was born in Indiana in 1831. They have three children - James H., Lizzie and Joseph L. Republican. Member of the Board of Trustees three years. Members of the Congregational Church.
