ALLFREE, John W.
Farmer; S. 26; P. O. Newton; born in Fayette Co., Penn., July 1, 1833; where he lived until 20 years of age, when he moved to Knox Co., Ohio, and engaged in farming, which he followed for twelve years. He fitted himself for commercial pursuits at Duff's College, Pittsburgh, Penn., but never engaged in the business. Came to this county in Sept., 1865, and has since made it his home. Married Maria J. PHILIIPS [sic-PHILLIPS] Nov. 5, 1860; they have a family of six children - Colensa C., M. Nettie, Minnie E., Harry B. and Vinnie E. Mr. Allfree and his wife are members of the M. E. Church; in political matters, he takes an active part, and has always advocated the principles of the Republican party. He now holds the office of Justice of the Peace.
