Va., Oct. 15, 1815; crossed on the ice to Coshocton Co., Ohio in Feb. 1841, thence to Jasper Co. in 1855; has 273 acres of land, valued at $45 per acre. Married Eliza A. WALTERS in 1848. She was born in Guernsey Co., Ohio in 1825. They have six children - Hannah, Jane, Henry, Mary, Sarah E. and John. Republican. Has held the office of Township Trustee, School Director.
