SNOOK, William
Farmer and proprietor of Snook & Bros.' Coal mines; Sec. 9; P. O. Newton; born in England in 1839; emigrated to America in 1852; came to Jasper Co. in 1864; has sixty acres of land, valued at $6,000. Married Miss Elizabeth SOUTH in 1863; she was born in England in 1843; they have five children-William, Jr., George A., Mark T., Samuel U., and John J. Member of the A., F. & A. M., No. 59, Newton. Enlisted in the 2d Kan. V.
