MOYER, William
Farmer and Stock Raiser; Sec. 2; P. O. Newton; born in Centre Co., Penn., Nov. 13, 1827. Married Margaret E. HART in Iowa in 1854. She was born in Ohio May 26, 1836. They have three children - Daniel J., David E. and Lourena Elen. Has 120 acres of land, valued at $50 per acre. Moved to Ohio, thence to Scott Co., Iowa in 1851; thence to Jasper Co. in 1871. Learned the wagon making trade in Ohio, which he followed five years in Iowa. Has held office of Tp. Trustee. They are members of the Evangelical Church; he is a member of the Grange and is a Greenbacker.
