MOORE, Harrison
Farmer and Stock Raiser; S. 4; P. O. Newton; born in Summit Co., Ohio, April 11, 1838. Married Catherine RINGLE in Henry Co., Illinois, Aug. 1, 1861. She was born in Allgheny Co., Penn., Oct. 2, 1842. They have three children - Harry, George and Willie; three children died in infancy. Has 305 acres of land, valued at $35 per acre. He moved to Illinois in 1857; remained thirteen years, thence to Iowa in 1870. Mr. Moore came to this state in limited circumstances; he went into hog raising; had good success, selling $2,000 worth a year, for several years, and now he is well situated and in good circumstances, with a good farm well watered, with orchards, groves, and all the comforts of a home; and has the respect of all his neighbors.
