REDMAN, James G.
Merchant and farmer; born in Wayne Co., Ky., in 1837; located in this county in 1864. Married Miss M. A. ANTLE in 1866; she was born in Morgan Co., Ill., in 1849; their children are Estella, Luthalla, Francis E. and Thomas B. He owns 277 acres of land, valued at $35 per acre, and improved property in Kellogg, valued at $2,000; he carries a stock of general merchandise of $5,000 worth. He is engaged in stock raising, principally Short-Horned cattle, and Berkshire and Poland hogs, of which he has about $2,500 worth on his farm, which is located on parts of Sec. 14 and Sec. 15 in Buena Vista Township in this county.
