POWERS, John L.
Farmer; Sec. 6; P. O. Gilman; was born in Morrow Co. (formerly Delaware Co.), December 1, 1829, and came to this county in February, 1876. Owns eighty acres of land, valued at $30 per acre. He is a Republican in politics. His wife, Julia A. CUTTING, was born October 17, 1832, in St. Lawrence Co., N. Y. Married, May 27, 1851; their children's names are Edwin M., born March 26, 1852; Lester M., born December 6, 1854; Mary E., born August 26, 1856; John E., born February 12, 1859; Thomas E., born February 23, 1868; Sherman L., born December 2, 1871. Mr. POWERS enlisted in Co. E, 31st O. V.
