FLICK, George W.
Harness and saddlery, Monroe. He was born in Washington co., PA in 1826, and remained in Pennsylvania till 1853. He then went to Dixon, IL where he remained about four years. He then went to Bureau Co., IL where he remained until the second year of the rebellion. He enlisted in Co. H, 93 Regt. V. I., serving three years and was honorably discharged 22 Jul 1865. In 1864 he was appointed Commander of Fort Alexander in St. Louis MO. He married Sarah J. BENNINGTON in PA. They have one child-- Ella E. Mr. Flick came to Monroe in 1871 and keeps a full and complete stock in the harnes line. He does his own manufacturing, and warrants all his work. He is a member of the I.O.O.F. and A. F. & A. M..
