MEREDITH, John; Farmer, Sec. 33, P. O. Lynnville. He was born in Pendleton, SC in 1809 and located in this county in 1850. He married Martha BROWN in 1853. She was born in Kentucky and was raised in Morgan Co., IL Their children are Henry C., Sarah W., Maranda I., Jonathan C., and Christy A. By a former marriage he had 10 children, of whom seven are living. Mrs. Meredith had four children by a former marriage. They are Baptists, and he is a Republican.
