DOANE, C. N.; Farmer, Sec 18, P.O. Kellogg. He was born in Windham Co. VT in 1842, and located in this county in 1868. He married Mary F. DEAN in 1879. She was born in La Salle Co., IL in 1852. Their children are Albert M., and Warner L. He is a Republican and is a member of the County Board of Supervisors, has held the position the past three years, also Secretary of the School Board. He owns eighty acres, valued at $30 per acre. He enlisted in the 36th IL V, Co E, in 1861. He mustered out in Feb 1863, from the effects of wounds received at the battle of Stone River, 31 Dec 1862.
