Mrs. Ann Clarke died at the home of her daughter Mrs. John Callahan of Glen Haven, last Friday May 26 th after a long winter of pain and suffering. Her remains were brought to our city Saturday morning. The funeral services were held in the Sacred Heart church of lthis city, Rev, Father Bowen of Sabula officiating and the remains were interred in the Bellevue cemetery, beside her husband who had gone befor her. Mrs. Clark was the widow of James Clarke and one of the oldest settlers in Jackson County , having resided in Washington township for fifty two years. The decease was and estimable lady and had a large circle of friends throughout this county. She was 68 years of age and the cause of her death was a cancer on her breast.
