Miss Dora Moeller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Moeller of near Miles, died Thursday after a brief illness with influenza. Miss Moeller contracted the disease while caring for her sister, Mrs. Jacob Mangold who passed away the previous Monday. - 12 Nov 1918, Jackson Sentinel, Maquoketa, IA
Dora and Katherine were both prob. victims of the 1918 influenza pandemic, i.e. "The Great Flu".
