Florence D. Gradert, 93, of Goose Lake, Iowa, died Tuesday, January 3, 2006, at West Wing Place in DeWitt. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, January 6, at the Ascension Lutheran Church in Goose Lake with the Rev. Caroline Engelbrecht officiating. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. today at the Pape Funeral Home in Clinton and from 9 a.m. until the service time Friday at the church. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Florence is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lucille (Arnold) Meyer and Mrs. Jean (Gary) Meyer both of Goose Lake; three sons, Earle (Yvonne) Gradert, of Bryant, Dean Gradert, of Camanche, and Glen (Cary) Gradert, of DeWitt; a daughter-in-law, Joan Gradert, of Bryant; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Voss, of Bryant; and two brothers, Raymond (Madeline) Voss, of Clinton, and Wilbert (Leola)Voss, of Teeds Grove. Florence was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Willis "Butch" Gradert, a grandson, James Gradert, and four brothers.
