Harris William Thiede

PRESTON — Harris William Thiede, 74, of Preston, died Tuesday at his home.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Preston, with the Rev. Karl Wolf officiating. Burial will be in the Preston Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Miller-Law-Jones Funeral Home, Preston.

He was born Aug. 1, 1931, to Roy Herman and Pearl Jackson Thiede in Preston. He married Gwendolyn Miller on Dec. 1, 1957, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Preston.

He graduated from Preston High School.

He was a grain and livestock farmer.

He was in a card club.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Victoria (David) Thiede-Knipper of Marion, Mrs. Audrey (Erich) Spangenberg of Rancho Mirage, Calif., and Mrs. Barbara (David) Michel of Preston; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
