Beatrice H. Fuss

MAQUOKETA — Beatrice H. Fuss, 98, of Maquoketa and formerly of LaMotte and Farley, died Sunday at the Maquoketa Care Center.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Maquoketa, with the Rev. James Chappell officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Rosary Cemetery, LaMotte. Visitation will be from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Lahey Funeral Home, Maquoketa.

She was born March 7, 1907, in Cottonville to Thomas and Anna Remakel Hayes. She married Edward Fuss in 1929 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, LaMotte.

She was educated in LaMotte schools.

She worked at the LaMotte News until 1948 and then with the Farley Home Press until her retirement.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Maquoketa.

Survivors include one son, Donald (Jeanine) Fuss of Maquoketa; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Mrs. LaVonne (Norbert) Hayes of Maquoketa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three sisters and one brother.
