Mrs. I. S. Hinckley was born Dec. 5, 1846, near Lake George, N. Y. She was the daughter of Ransom and Margaret Jenkins. They came to Iowa in the early fifties, settling near Buckhorn. She was married to Mr. I. S. Hinckley, December 24, 1874, and lived in Delmar ever since. Three children were born to her. One died in infancy. Reginald and Glidden, aged 20 and 11 years, her husband, her mother, a brother, Dan Jenkins, of Fulton, and two sisters, Mrs. David Wright of this city and Mrs. O. O. Orndorff of Anamosa, survive her. She was stricken with paralysis four weeks ago yesterday and died at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon. Funeral services will be held at the Presbyterian church, Delmar, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Mrs. Hinckley was a faithful wife, a loving mother, a true friend, and a kind and generous neighbor.
