Lou Anderson was born in Maquoketa, Iowa in the year 1853, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Anderson who were among the early settlers of this community.

He was married to Ella J. Decker. To this union there were five children born, two of whom are deceased. Those living are Fred Anderson of Kansas City, Kansas, Robert Anderson of Clinton, Iowa and Mrs. Wilma Truman of Waterloo, Iowa.

For the past six months Mr. Anderson had been ailing off and on, and it was hoped that he might rally and be spared to see a few more years. The end, however, came very suddenly when he passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 1921.

Mr. Anderson was a kind father and a loving husband, and he will be be missed not only by his wife and the children who survive him, but by a host of friends and neighbors.

For nearly forty years Mr. Anderson has been in the music business, in which he held the esteem and confidence of all his patrons.

The friends of the bereaved wife and her children extend at this time of sorrow their heartfelt sympathy.

The funeral services were held at the home Thursday afternoon at 2;30 with rev. L. E. Brough officiating. Interment was made in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
