James R. "Jim" Kinrade, 86, of Maquoketa, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, October 21, 2021, at home.

Friends and family may gather for "One Last Party" ® in remembrance of "Jim" on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, from 3 to 5 P.M. in "The Bistro" at Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Casual Attire is requested. Cremation has taken place. A private family burial will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery, Maquoketa.

James Robert Kinrade was born on December 18, 1934 in Maquoketa, Iowa, to Leonard and Alice (Lane) Kinrade. He grew up in Maquoketa and was a 1952 graduate of Maquoketa High School. He married Sandra Ann Casady on June 21, 1953 in Maquoketa, Iowa. Two children were born to this union, Mark and Kelle.

"Jim" had first worked for Hayes Bros. Dairy in Maquoketa. He then worked for Maquoketa Servisoft, and from 1962 to 1985 he was employed as a sales supervisor for Means Services out of East Moline, Illinois. In retirement, "Jim" worked for Charles Dietz Painting and Wall Covering in Maquoketa.

"Jim" was a member of the Coronado Car Club in Maquoketa, and a former member of the Maquoketa Optimist Club. He enjoyed classic cars, golfing, and fishing. Additionally, he was an avid fan of both the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Sandra Kinrade of Maquoketa, IA; children, Mark (Beth) Kinrade of Sioux Center, IA, and Kelle (Ron) Clark of Blue Grass, IA; 3 grandchildren, Lindsey (Casey), Kate (Will), and Kirk; 4 great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Spencer, Bryce and Miles; a sister, Marilyn (Allen) Paulsen of Delmar, IA; a brother, Bill (Jo) Kinrade of Ames, IA; and a brother-in-law, Gene Ulvestad of Ames, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Doris Ulvestad.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to Hospice of Jackson County or the Coronado Car Club Scholarship Fund.
