OXFORD JUNCTION - Mrs. Nellie Ketchum, 80, died Friday, Jan. 8, at the home of her son-in-law and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Meryl Fields, Oxford Junction.
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 11, in the Baptist church, Maquoketa. Rev. Marion Robey conducted the service. Burial was in Mount Hope cemetery. Carson Funeral home, Maquoketa, was in charge of arrangements.
She was born Nellie Kitts, April 10, 1884, daughter of David and Mary Heaton Kitts, Jackson county. She was married to George Ketchum on Nov. 4, 1943, at Clinton.
Survivors include four sons, Harold Starr, Thomson, Ill.; Gale, Ross and Walter, Maquoketa; three daughters, Mrs. Dwight Mitchell, Muskegon, Mich.; Mrs. James Williams, Grand Rapids, Mich., and Mrs. Fields, Oxford Junction.
Other survivors include a sister, Mrs. Lela Paup, Maquoketa, 33 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, her parents, three brothers and six sisters.
