The funeral of Geo. Glaser for fifty seven years a resident of Jackson county was held from the home yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Mr. Glaser passed away Monday afternoon at 5:30 after an illness of much over twenty-four hours. He had not been in good health for some time, but had been able to be about until Sunday when he was taken suddenly ill rapidly growing worse until the end. He was eighty years old born in Wurtenburg Germany in 1840. He came to American when a young man and has spent most of his life in Maquoketa. His wife precede him in death nine years ago. He is survived by three daughters, Miss Madelaine and Mrs. Palmer both of Davenport and Mrs. Freda Jensen of this city and two brothers, Fred and Chris both of this city.
