Burned to Death
John and Bert Bradley of this city are in receipts of the news that their brother Peter and wife, former residents of Maquoketa and since leaving here residents of Sanborn, Iowa, were burned to death in their home there. Few particulars were given in the message, but it was stated that Mr. and Mrs. Bradley were asleep in the house when the fire started and the blaze gained such headway that they were caught before they could make their escape. Their charred bodies were discovered in the ruins. Mr. Bradley spent the greater part of his life in Maquoketa and was well known here. He followed the baker's trade for many years.
