Marcella A. Stalker, 94, of Maquoketa, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, February 10, 2021, at Maquoketa Care Center.

A private family service celebrating Marcella's life will be held at a later date. At Peace Cremation Services have been provided by Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa.

Marcella Ardene Mogk was born on May 17, 1926 in Nora Springs, Iowa, to William and Ellen (Schindler) Mogk. She was a graduate of Nora Springs High School. She married William E. "Bill" Stalker on April 14, 1947 in Austin, Minnesota. He preceded her in death on September 21, 2008.

Marcella and her husband had lived in Mason City, Sioux City, Osage, and Maquoketa, before moving to Naples, Florida. While in Florida, she and her husband had owned and operated Corbin and Lindberg Nursery and Garden Center for five years. Lastly, she worked for ten years as the secretary for the Collier County Sheriff's Department.

Marcella enjoyed playing bridge and cribbage, flowers, gardening, and volunteering for Options Thrift Shoppe (a fashionable support store for Abused Women and Children in Naples, Florida). She was a mother and grandmother to countless children. She had a great sense of humor and positively affected many people's lives.

Those left to honor her memory include her children, Greg (Peg Bowen) Stalker of Maquoketa, IA, Dennis (Kerry) Stalker of Fayetteville, NC, and John (Ann) Walker of Santiago, CL; 3 grandchildren, Brett Stalker, Kristi (Steve) Vogele, and Danielle Stalker; 2 great-grandchildren, Alissa and Aubree Vogele; 3 step-grandchildren and 6 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother and sister-in-law, Maynard and Nora Mogk.
