Killed Father Defending Mother.
Dubuque, Iowa, Oct. 1 —Henry Schaefer aged sixty, frenzied with liquor, attempted to kill his wife and daughter near Lamotte, Jackson county, seventeen miles from Dubuque. While defending her mother the daughter struck her father with a club, killing him. The coroner’s jury exonerated the daughter
