Maquoketa, Ia., Jan. 25--Wm. Thomas who had been ill for some time passed away Friday night at 11:45. The funeral services will be held at St. Mark's Episcopal church Tuesday Jan. 26 at 2:3, Rev. Arthur Lewis officiating. Mr. Thomas belonged to the Masonic and K of P orders of Maquoketa.

Maquoketa, Ia. Jan 26--After several weeks of suffering with heart trouble, William R. Thomas, one of our best and most industrious citizens, gave way to the dread attack of the disease, and on Friday evening, Jan. 22, breathed his last. For more than a year Mr. Thomas had not been enjoying the best of health, but his energy overcame his physical troubles until a short time before his final illness, when he was obliged to give way to the inevitable. He was a carpenter and followed his chosen calling for many years in this city.

Mr. Thomas was an honored member of Helton lodge No. 36, A.F. & A.M., and also of Peerless Lodge No. 60, K. of P.

William Thomas was born at Truro, Cornwall, England, and died of heart trouble at his home in this city Jan. 22, 1915. He leaves his wife, son Ralph, daughter Mildred; also his mother, Mrs. Samuel Thomas Sr., two brothers, Harry and Sam of this city; sisters, Annie and Nell at home, Mrs. R. L. Fairbrother of Chicago, Mrs. H. G. Anderson of Fulton, Ill. Funeral services were held at the Episcopal church this afternoon at 2:30, Rev. Arthur Lewis officiating. Interment was made in Mt. Hope cemetery.
