Cascade Pioneer, Cascade, Iowa, Friday, Morning, February 15th, 1895

Dennis Driscoll, an old and respected citizen and pioneer of Garry Owen, died at the home of his son Daniel on Feb. 15th, 1895. Deceased was a native of County Cork, Ireland, and was over 90 years of age at the time of his death. He had been a resident of Garry Owen for almost 50 years and took a prominent part in developing the agricultural resources and building up of the educational and religious institutions of that section. Mr. Driscoll leaves a number of grown-up sons and daughters to mourn the death of a kind and indulgent father.

The funeral was held Saturday from his son’s residence to the Garry Owen church, where mass was celebrated and thence to the Garry Owen cemetery where interment was made.
