Bellevue, Ia., Dec. 22--Averl Elizabeth Scholtes, the 3-year-old daughter of Mrs. Viola Scholtes, was buried from St. Joseph's church Monday morning. The little girl died at the home of her aunt, Mrs. Louie Till, where she and her mother were staying, to take care of her sister and the new little cousin. Averl had a cold and was taken very suddenly with meningitis. Everything possible was done for the little sufferer, but all to no avail and she passed away in less than 36 hours. The death was doubly sad as the young mother was called to give up the baby's father in less than a year after they were married, and Averl was her one great comfort. Four little girls attended the casket, and four others bore the beautiful flowers and tenderly placed them on the wee grave beside the father's.
