DIED
McCabe-Sunday, May 26th, at the residence of her husband, near Sabula, Jackson, Iowa, Fidelia, wife of Janes McCabe, in the 29th year of her age.

By the death of the deceased, a gloom has fallen upon the whole community, amongst whom she had for a number of years shed a bright and enduring light. By her devotion to the family over which she was placed, her kindness to the poor and the sick in her neighborhood, and her mild and unassuming manner, she had gained for herself the respect and sincere friendship of everyone with whom she was intimate. As a Catholic mother she was an example of virtue and perseverance under circumstances which but few have to contend with. In a word, all who knew her loved and respected her. And her friends, while sympathizing with those who are so deeply afflicted by her loss, yet feel that she has made a happy exchange of the trials and troubles of this world for the glorious happiness of a companionship with the Savior; for we know that those who love and serve Him here on earth shall enjoy the happy fruition of His glory in the kingdom prepared for the,. Requiescat in pace.
