Leroy Stuart Dies
In Iowa City Hospital

Leroy B. Stuart, 1620 B. Avenue NE, died at 10:45 p.m. Tuesday in University Hospital in Iowa City, after a brief illness. He was born Oct. 28, 1858, at Monmouth, the son of Lew and Melissa Brookfield Stuart. He was married at Monmouth April 3, 1890, to Alice Van Patten, and the couple moved to Cedar Rapids in February 1908, Mrs. Stuart died in 1930.

Mr. Stuart was associated with J. C. Fulkerson in the manufacturing business in Marion for many years. He was a 50-year member of the Keystone Masonic Lodge at Wyoming, Ia. Surviving is a sister-in-law, Miss Hattie Van Patten, with whom he made his home.

Services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Yocom Chapel in Marion, with the Rev. J. P. Van Horne officiating. Burial will be in the Monmouth Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel after Thursday morning.
