Gusta "Hap" Howell, 62, passed away at his home in Cedar Rapids on Dec. 23, 1876.

Services were held Monday, Dec. 27th at 10:30 a.m. in the Hayden Funeral Home. Rev. David Smith officiated. Burial was at the South Mineral Cemetery, Onslow.

Mr. Howell was born in Jackson County on Dec. 14, 1914 to Amon and Zina Clark Howell. He married Lorraine Bearinger at Maquoketa on Dec. 24, 1934.

Survivors include his wife; 1 daughter, Mrs. Greta Jacobs of Bronson, Kentucky, 1 son, Lyle of Williston, N. Dakota; 1 brother, Clarence of Canton; 2 sisters, Mrs. Ila Andresen of Maquoketa and Mrs. Doris Thompson of Center Junction and 2 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
