Bellevue, Iowa, April 25--The friends of Mrs. Anna Simpson were deeply grieved when her death was reported Monday morning, she having seemed to be improving.

Deceased was born at Burlington, Iowa, 75 years ago. Her maiden name was Hamblin and she was married to W. H. Simpson in 1858. They resided on a farm near Gordon's Ferry until a home in north Bellevue where she has made her home ever since and where she died.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Albert Felderman of DeWitt, Neb. She had been here when her mother was first taken so severely sick, but had returned to her home thinking her so much better and two sons, Ed. of this city and Doctor Simpson, of Sycamore, Ill. She was a faithful member of the Episcopal church, but there being no pastor of that church here at present her funeral was conducted at the house Thursday. He had visited here during her illness and knew her beautiful Christian faith and he paid her a truly fitting tribute. Burial took place in the Presbyterian cemetery.
