Bellevue, Iowa, April 5--After suffering with that dread disease, cancer, Mr. John Goesfort was released by the Angel of Death at his home south of town last Saturday morning. He was born in Germany 72 years ago, dying on his birthday. He came to America when seven years of age. He married Miss Christine Goetz 47 years ago this month. He is survived by five sons and one daughter, all of Bellevue. The daughter and sons were his faithful caretakers to the end. The funeral took place at the house then to St. John's Lutheran church, conducted by Rev. Mutchman after which the body was borne to the Lutheran cemetery and laid to rest.
