Obituary of Kenneth Olander Anderson Jr.
Kenneth O. Anderson Jr. 57, of Bellevue, IA, passed away on July 22, 2019 in Davenport, IA.
Per his wishes cremation rights have been accorded. A memorial service will be held on Saturday July 27, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at Weerts Funeral Home. Ken was born on March 31, 1962 in Clinton, IA to Kenneth and Emily (Kuchlenz) Anderson. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in education from Buena Vista College in 1984. He married Brenda Menneke in 1985. Ken was employed by the Bellevue School Community Schools as a Social Studies teacher for grades 6 – 12. He was head Boys Basketball coach from 1991-2007, assistant football coach from 1987-2016, head boys bowling coach from 2012-2019, MS boys track coach from 1989-2019, MS girls track coach 1987-1988, and high school student council advisor from 2015-2019. Ken had a passion to teach and encourage his students. Ken was an avid golfer and bowler. He enjoyed spending time on the river and looked forward to his yearly trips to Okoboji. He loved socializing with friends, and traveling to foreign destinations.

Survivors include his daughter Erica Anderson of Brookings, SD, one sister, Sally Flesch; one nephew, Mark Flesch; 2 aunts, Henrietta Kuchlenz and Carmen Kuchlenz.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
