Preston, Iowa, Dec. 29--Ernest August Clausen, aged 48 years, died Wednesday, Dec. 20 at 11 o'clock. He was taken with apoplexy and within a few minutes passed away. The deceased was born in Washington township, May 25, 1868. He was united in marriage to Miss Josephine Stoockman January 22, 1896. To this happy union four children were born.

He leaves to mourn his death his wife, and four children, 1 daughter, Lulu, 3 sons, Arthur, Ernest and Gilberet, 4 brothers, Henry of Clark, South Dakota, Julius of Ragan, Nebraska, Fred of Teeds Grove, Louis of Reiseville, two sisters, Mrs. John Miller and Mrs. Henry Lange of Miles.

Mr. Clausen was 48 years, 6 months and 25 days old at the time of his death. Interment was made in the Van Buren cemetery.
