At her home on Second street, aged 87 years, at 12:16 Tuesday night, Miss Octavia Reed passed from this life. Her death was sudden. She called upon friends Sunday and was about the house and yard Monday and Tuesday. Late Tuesday evening she sat sewing Christmas gifts. She suddenly called for help. Mrs. Emma Reed and son rushed to her assistance. Dr. Hanske was called at 11:30 and at 12:15 she passed away. Heart trouble was the cause of her death. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Reed, was born in St. Louis, and was the last of a family of nine children. She came to Bellevue in 1888, and had been a resident here ever since. Her only relatives living are four nephews and two nieces.
