Baldwin, Ia. Dec. 1--On Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 Baldwin and the whole country tributary thereto, including Maquoketa, Elwood and the townships, were put into deep mourning when the spirit of Mrs. Edna Willey, wife of A. I. Willey took its departure for her heavenly abode without a moment's warning, aged 38 years and 6 days. Deceased was born Nov. 23, 1878 near Elwood, Iowa. Heart failure was the cause of death. Mrs. Willey was the daughter of John and Mary Wirth, who were born in Germany.

She leaves to mourn her loss a devoted husband and three children, the youngest being 6 years old, also three brothers and two sisters, Alex and Arthur of Elwood and Frank of Nashville, Mrs. Groenwaldt, south of Maquoketa, Mrs. Riggeberg, near Elwood, Mrs. Leinbaugh of Elwood, her brother Felix having died in this city about five years ago whose widow and son reside here now.

They had just finished an elegant up-to-date home and were in due shape to enjoy life.

Funeral from the home today at 2 p.m., Rev. Boomershine officiating.
