SUDDEN DEATH AT MAQUOKETA
(Special Correspondence)
Maquoketa, Ia. June 26--Mrs. W. D. Palmer, one of Maquoketa's most estimable and beloved ladies, passed away very suddenly Saturday morning at 11:30 o'clock, the final summons coming without a moment's warning. She and her daughter, Miss Jessie Palmer had been conversing from different rooms just before dinner, and when Miss Jessie failed to receive an answer from her mother from something she had just said, she went to investigate and stumbled over her prostrate body. Death at all times is sad, but when it enters the home so quickly as in this case, it is doubly so. Deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Hueing, and was born in Ohio, Aug. 8, 1851, and was therefore aged about 64 years. She leaves to mourn her death, her husband and four children: Mrs. Art McDonald, Mrs. Riley Edwards, Miss Jessie Palmer and A. H. Palmer, all living in or near Maquoketa. She also leaves two sisters Mrs. Emma Ellis and one in California.

The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at two o'clock from the home, Rev. Bartholomew officiating. Interment will be made in Mount Hope cemetery.
