Lori Lea Wilson, age 45, of Thomson, Illinois, formerly of Sabula, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at her home. Cremation Rites will be accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 – 4:20 p.m., on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Manny’s Pizza in Savanna, Illinois. A memorial fund has been established in Lori’s memory.

Lori, also affectionately known as “Squints” by her friends was born on November 14, 1973 in Clinton, Iowa. She was raised in Sabula and attended East Central High School, graduating with the Class of 1992. After graduation, Lori attended Capri College in Clinton, Iowa. Lori was always happy-go-lucky and lived in the moment. She will be lovingly remembered for her smile and her contagious laugh.

Lori loved Florida and recently lived in Cape Coral, until returning home two years ago. Some of her favorite activities in Florida were boating on the ocean and chasing dolphins. She also enjoyed going on road trips with friends. Lori was also an excellent cook and was an amazing baker. Most of all, Lori treasured spending time with her family and friends.

Lori will be lovingly remembered by her two sons, Brandon Meyer of Miles, Iowa, and Brady Driscoll of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; her mother, Donnette (Toby) Themas of Thomson; one sister, Trisha (Scott) Olson of Cedar Rapids; five step brothers and sisters, Jim (Tracy) Lemke of Brillion, Wisconsin, Shane (Talyr) Themas of LeClaire, Iowa, Tiffany Themas of Bettendorf, Iowa, Travis (Anna) Themas of Cordova, Illinois, and Jessie (Derek Patterson) Themas of Roscoe, Illinois; one niece, Brianna Olson of Cedar Rapids; eight step nieces and nephews; two aunts, Darla Jorgensen and Diane Davids, both of Clinton, Iowa; one cousin, Jodie (Jim) Vance and family of LeClaire; and her two loving Yorkie’s, Gizmo and Bella.

Lori is preceded in death by her grandparents; one cousin, Mark Bower; and one uncle, Ray Jorgensen.ye
