Maquoketa, Ia. June 20 --Mrs. Jessie E. Nichols-Fairman, wife of B. B. Fairman, who died Sunday and was laid to rest in Mt. Hope cemetery this afternoon was born January 1, 1860 at Madrid, Lawrence, Co., N.Y. Her early life was spent in Madrid and there she became the wife Mr. Fairman in 1877. Two years later they moved to Vermont, where they resided until they came to Maquoketa in 1894. Mrs. Fairman has been an active member of the M.E. church and of the W.R.C. and M.B.A. lodge.

Rev. Bartholomew officiated at the services this afternoon. Mrs. H. S. Edmonds, a niece of Mrs. Fairman, of Albany, N.Y. and Mrs. Clare Bryne, of Omaha, Neb., a sister of Mr. Fairman, have been here for some time helping care for Mrs. Fairman and all that loving care and medical aid could do, were done, but Mrs. Fairman was a great sufferer.
