Sabula Feb. 15.--Mrs. Johanna Norshow was born in Osbro, North Schleswig, Germany, on October 12, 1852, and at the time of her death was 63 years, 3 months and 26 days of age. She was united in marriage to Frederick Christensen Norshow on Dec. 4, 1880, and they came to America in 1880, locating in Sabula. Nine children were born to them, two of whom have passed away, Anna and Freddie. The husband died four years ago this spring and the surviving children left to mourn the death of the beloved mother are Chris Norshow, Mrs. Otto Smith and Mrs. Harry Sizenbach, Mrs. Wm. Streib of Clinton, Tony and Nellie Norshow of Dubuque and Peter Norshow of near Sabula; also one sister, Mrs. Martin Schmidt, of Clark, S.D. She has been spending the winter in Clinton since the death of her husband, where she passed away to the beloved land above on Monday at 11 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Streib. The remains were brought back to her home on Tuesday and the funeral was held on Wednesday at the M.E. church, Rev. Peter F. Goike of the Danish Lutheran church of Clinton, officiating. The remains were laid to rest in the Evergreen cemetery.
