Maquoketa, Ia, Feb. 15.--Mr. Jesse F. Copp of this city passed away Sunday, Feb. 13, 1916, at 2:15 a.m., aged 72 years, 2 months and 17 days, being born in Pennsylvania, November 26, 1845.

His father, Abner Copp was born in Germany and his mother, Eliza James, was born in Ireland. He was a cooper by trade and employed for a great many years at the A. Hurst & Co. Lime Works in the cooper department.

He leaves four sons and two daughters to mourn his loss.

The funeral was held at the J. A. Buchner undertaking chapel at 2 p.m. today, Rev. Fletcher of the Baptist church officiating. Interment at Esgate.
