Albert "Abe" Wiese
MAQUOKETA, Iowa - Albert "Abe" Wiese, 79, died Wednesday at Jackson County Public Hospital after a brief illness.

He had been employed by the street department for the city of Maquoketa.

Mr. Wiese married Madaline Batey in 1937 in Jackson County, Iowa.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Carson Funeral Home, burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Maquoketa.

Visitation is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

A memorial fund has been established.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Sarah Manning, Monmouth, Iowa, Alberta Bodkin, Janet DeLarm, both of Oxford Junction, Iowa, Edna Edwards, Cindy Krumviede, both of Maquoketa; sons, Ronald of Andrew, Richard, Maquoketa, and Charles, Oxford Junction; 27 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, LeRoy, Calamus, Iowa.
