Obituary.

Wilhemena Storm was born in Dikhoff Mecklenberg, Schwevein, Germany, Dec 26th, 1843 and died at Preston, Ia., June 13th, 1903, aged 59 years, 5 months, 19 days. At eight years of age she came to America with her parents, who shortly took up their residence near Preston. At an early age she was married to Fred Brinker, who died some years ago. To them were born two sons, John, of Valley, Ia., and Fred, of Hannibal, Mo. On April 22d, 1866 she was married to John Peters, who preceeded her in death on Apr. 8th, 1894. To them were born three sons, Chas. of Chicago, Ill., Herman of Ft. Suelling, Minn., and Louis, deceased; also three daughters, Mary Meyers, River Sioux, Ia., Lena, living, Minnie, deceased. Besides the above mentioned there still survive to mourn her loss, two brothers, John and Chas. Storm, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Kukkuk and Mrs. Caroline Godes. Three brothers, Louis, Fred and Geo. Storm, and two sisters Steinie Storm and Mrs. Smerky, together with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Storm are already deceased.

Mrs. Peters was baptized in infancy and was confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Chicago when 15 years of age. She remained a faithful and devoted member until the last. For 37 years she has been a resident of Preston and has lived in or near Preston since coming to America. During these years she has acquired a large number of friends who deeply deplore her loss. Her final sickness was but of eight days duration, thus making her death the more unexpected and keenly felt. She has always been a faithful painstaking worker, a loving wife and a good mother, and her memory will be sweet to all who knew her.

The funeral services were held on Sunday, at 2 p.m., at the Lutheran church, conducted by Rev. Reeder. Interment was made in the Preston cemetery.
