Obituary for Dorothy C Camp
Dorothy C. Camp, 102, of Bellevue, Iowa, passed away Friday, September 21, 2018 at Mill Valley Care Center, Bellevue. Private services will be held Friday, September 28 at Elvira Cemetery. Dorothy was born September 28, 1915 in Lost Nation, Iowa the daughter of James Ivab And Anna Mae (Spangler) Mowat. She was a 1933 graduate of Clinton High School. Dorothy married John Camp on March 13, 1938 in Elvira. She farmed with her husband their entire married life and she was a homemaker.
Dorothy had been a longtime member of Ascension Lutheran Church, Goose Lake and various women’s clubs. She was president of the Iowa Council of Republican Women, Vice President of the Women’s National Republican Association, President of the ACWW Country of the World’s Women Council and PEO.
Dorothy is survived by her son, James (Lorabelle) Camp of Bryant, Iowa; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Memorials may be made to the Clinton Women’s Club.
